Podcasts are literally my go to for everything.

No matter what I’m doing. whether its at the gym, house cleaning or even writing in my blog, I listen to a podcast. For me they have just become so useful and interesting to listen to. Its just so much fun to feel as though you’re listening in on a conversation. A conversation thats not necessarily scripted. Thats one of my key loves of podcasts. The opinions expressed seem so raw and authentic, they’re well thought out and just have a huge love for them.

Over the past couple of weeks there are a couple of podcast episodes I keep coming back to. Usually for two reasons, I learn something in each one and have to listen repeatedly to make notes or I just love it so much, thats its comforting to listen to over and over.

I’m excited to share them with you. My podcast list is slowly growing and growing as I discover more incredible show to listen to. My main faves are usually to do with blogging, marketing or empowerment. So please, do check out the list below and maybe even listen to one of these podcasts! I would just love to know what you think.

Podcast One: ‘Crazy Creative People’ – Building a creative business around mental illness

Hosted by Me and Orla featuring Beth Kirby

I just connect with this podcast episode so much. It’s nearly an hour long and you just learn so much about Beth Kirby’s story building her creative business. I aspire to at that level one day (way off in the future). It’s just so refreshing to listen to something so honest.

To be honest I hadn’t heard of Beth Kirby before but I’ve been inspired by Sara for a long time. I have a tremendous amount of love for her podcast as she’s seems to introduce me to so many inspiring creative people. Every episode comes with a healthy dose of inspiration.

This episode is no exception. Talking about how Beth Kirby has managed to overcome so boundaries and turn them into something valuable and create a business where her passion shines through. I beg you all to listen to this right now! It’s such an important episode as it showcases two incredible women in the creative industry.

Crazy Creative People Podcast

Hosted by Jen Carrington of the Make it happen podcast

So this episode is a shorter one. however I find podcast episodes with list techniques are so useful. I often like to listen to Jen’s podcast when I’m writing my blog. Partly because she has an uber calming voice and  blogging is my creative work. So her advice is so valuable to me.

I love this episode because she runs through ten key points that every creative person should ask themselves about. It’s incredibly therapeutic to listen to podcast when I’m in the right headspace to to really reflect on my blog.

Podcast Three: How to use Pinterest to grow your business

From the Soulful PR podcast, hosted by Janet Murray featuring Melissa Griffin.

Now I am a huge fan of Janet Murrays podcast, its my go to for marketing inspiration. The information is also told in an informative, incredible way.

The episode is so inspiring to me because I DID NOT know how to use Pinterest when I first got into the platform. Melissa has such a refreshing view and really inspired me to get more creative. I still use this episode as a resource for Pinterest. Although this podcast is aimed at business owners (of which i am not) I translate those skills into using it for blog. Or really, I just treat my blog as a business, so I can learn as much as a possible.

So there you it, three podcast episodes I cherish and just love. I realise a lot of these are for the creative side. So I’ll be writing another post, for the more chilled podcasts I listen too. In the meantime – please share your favourite podcast episodes in the comments below. I would love to  discover more podcasts.
