Celebrating Bonfire night in Cambridge!

Ah! It’s my favourite time of the year and bonfire officially kicks it all off! I officially see the 5th of November as the start of Christmas festivities. Here in Cambridge we are treated to so many local festive activities around this time of year. Bonfire night, Christmas markets, and our own mini Christmas winter wonderland.

It’s just perfect. It’s also the perfect way to get into the the holiday spirit, as they the whole of cambridge start to change and turn all festive.

So starting with bonfire night, I love outdoor events and Cambridge bonfire night has to be my favourite by far. Food trucks and an electric funfair all dotted about midsummer common. I always have to get some Candy floss on bonfire night, it’s just a must.

The atmosphere is just, really, really ecstatic and its such a great event to people watch families and friends all act silly and really just enjoy the night.┬áThen of course theres the main event, the reason we all trek out on a cold november night. The beautiful firework display, which in Cambridge goes on for a least 20 minutes, followed by the lighting of the bonfire. I’m so excited for the next festive event, which I think will be a christmas market.

What were your plans for bonfire night? How did you celebrate?
