Beauty Empties: What I tried and tested throughout April

May 2, 2020 in Beauty - 7 Comments - 3 min read

Firstly, I’m so excited to be starting this series. I love beauty but I always get so shy chatting about it as I’m just your average girl trying to find out what products are her magic slipper. I definitely have stored up far too many beauty products over the past few months and I thought this would be a fun way to use what I have and share my honest thoughts.

So lets get to it!

Rimmel London: Lasting Radiance Foundation

As a rule, I like to have at least four different types of foundations to switch between on the regular. I think because every foundation work differently depending on what condition my skin is in. I started using the Rimmel London: Lasting Radiance Foundation last year, pretty soon after it launched. I even wrote a blog post on my first impression at the time.

This is now one of my favourite foundations to use when the weather is a little warmer, it doesn’t slip and really is long wearing. My skin type is combination and I feel this works well.

NUXE PARIS: Multi Correction Gel Cream

This is not a brand I would usually buy or come across. This was actually from my beauty advent calendar this past Christmas. The best way to use this is first thing in the morning all over the face and neck. This is a really light cream and doesn’t feel too heavy on the face, after a few uses I definitely felt like my face ws smoother.

However, it was too small of a bottle I think to really get a proper feel of the capabilities of the product. I don’t think I would buy again as I just wasn’t amazed.

Dermalogica: Rapid Reveal Peel

If you follow my blog, you should know by now I LOVE Dermalogica, they are just a brand who knows what the best thing is for each skin. The Rapid Reveal Peel is like a Kick start for freshening up your skin. You just pop the peel on your skin and leave it on your skin for 3-7 minutes while it works its magic. It’s a product that tingles on your skin while its working and really warms up your face. It is literally a chemical peel and tightens your face. I would buy this product again but I feel that way about most Dermalogica products, its a brand that just works for me.

EYEKO LONDON: Lash Alert mascara

EYEKO is another product I thought I would give a little try. Out of all my empties this month, this is the most disappointing product. From the get go, it was difficult to apply and actually see an effect taking place. The tub also dried up most of the product. So yeah, as you can imagine – this product is a hard no.

That is everything, all the beauty empties from the month of April. Let me know if you like seeing these sort of posts from me and I’ll make sure to continue this as a monthly feature. Stay safe!

Interesting to hear you really like the Rimmel one. I used to love Wake Me Up and I saw a lot of people say they didn’t think this one was as good when it replaced it, I need to try it still x

I love the sound of the foundation. I normally use Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation but I think I’m going to have to give the one you’ve mentioned a go.
