So we’re still on lockdown over here, and as a result I hope you are keeping well and safe at home. I’ve mentioned this a few times but personally, I’m enjoying lockdown. I love being at home and have been nesting in my house as a result. Slightly worrying as I’m now getting an itch to add to my home decor after scrolling for far too long on pinterest.
One helpful thing I have done, is make a list of all those blog admin bits that I need to do but I either don’t always have time to do or just really don’t want to do. So as your blogging pal, I thought I would share it, just in case you’ve realised that there’s a few blog admin things you could get DONE during this lockdown period.

1. Respond to Blog Comments
If you are lucky to get some lovely comments for your blog, you might be like me in the sense that you feel guilty that you don’t always have the time to respond to everyone the way you like. Now is the perfect time to schedule a couple of hours of responding to those lovely comments.
2. Get Pinning your Blog posts
You might be able to relate to me on this one, I never used to pin my old blog posts on pinterest, so there’s a lot of back dating I have to do. If you’re not using pinterest regularly I recommend you spend some time pinning your blog posts to pinterest as its a great way to get traffic and help your content have a higher reach.
3. Go through your tags, Keywords & Categories
Since starting my blog, I have learnt more and more about keywords and tags. So its good for me to go back and update those previous blog posts that just need to be a little richer in this department. It’s always good to go back and essentially up skill your past blog posts to give the a new leave of life. I fully believe our copywriting skills upgrade with each post we write, so its good to go back and add that knowledge.
4. Make a content Plan for future posts
I live by trello for my content planning. I use it as place to brain dump and then structure the outline of my posts before I actually start the writing part of it. But any system you use that works for you is one that is great. I usually try to have an outline planned for around four posts, just so I know I’ve got a plan and direction as to what my blog will look for the next month or so.

And those are my admin recommendations for you on the blog. Have you got any other blog admin tips that you’ve been doing recently?
Great tips! I definitely need to spend some time making more pins and going back and updating old posts.
Fab suggestions. The blog admin tasks can be SO boring but they need doing and now is the perfect time to do them! xxx
One blog admin thing I need to do is getting rid of broken links! x
Some great tips! I have been doing some admin on mine the last few weeks xx
I really need to get better at replying to blog comments! I tend to leave it to build up for ages then find myself with loads of people to get back too. Now’s the perfect time though to be catching up on it like you say! xx
