Cute little spots for the perfect Cambridge Valentines date

Because a Valentines date, is your chance to be extra cute right?

Confession: I like the idea of valentines day. Of course, I’m completely with you when they say that you shouldn’t just use an awareness day to sow your love. You should share your love with your significant other and even your friends whenever, wherever.

However, Valentines is the perfect excuse to be extra cute, and this year, I’m really in to the idea of celebrating Valentines locally, as best you can. I LOVE the city I live in. Cambridge is romantic in its own kind of way. So I’ve spent the last week, roaming around the city, marking out my favourite spots that you and your better half can enjoy this Valentines.

    FitzWilliam Museum

The FitzWilliam museum, is probably one of the most underrated little date spots in Cambridge. Firstly – it just has such a beautiful interior. Trust me, I get that the exterior is impressive, but just wait until you get inside.

The fitz has such a beautiful collection of artworks so much so, you can just get completely absorbed and spend a good couple of hours lost in it all. Even better, its free admission. A perfect little date sport right?

    Fitzbillies

    Cambridge valentines date

Let it be known. I adore Fitzbillies. It is one of the most beautiful cafes in cambridge, recently doubling in size by open another branch, right by the Cambridge river.

The original cafe, is right down road just after museum. Fitzbillies are world famous for their chelsea buns. So if you’re looking for a sickly sweet Cambridge Valentines date treat, this is the cutest place to go.

    Franco Manca

Franco Manca is a chain restaurant that has recently come to Cambridge. But stepping inside, you could easily mistake it for a cute local, pizzeria. Its also right in the middle of Cambridge, so its the perfect place to grab a bite to eat (its also incredibly cheap but incredibly high in quality).

So if a cute valentines date, is pizza & a cheeky beer. You have to pay this one a visit. I promise you won’t be disappointed.

    Doppleganger

Now, don’t worry. This is a cute little meat-free valentines option for those who desire it. Doppleganger, is a beautiful vibrant little burger joint, thats opened up this year.

I would totally advise, making a booking for this lil place if you really want to check it out, just because its so tiny and sweet BUT huge in demand.

    Aromi

Am I saving the best till last? I very well might be. Aromi has been a firm favourite of mine, since I moved to Cambridge, over five years ago. It’s a proper little Italian italian cafe, brought right into the centre of Cambridge.

    Cambridge valentines date

The best thing about it? There are now three Aromi’s in Cambridge, which means if I’m in the mood for pistachio hot chocolate or latte, I have three chances to get it. For you, it means three chances to get the perfect seat for a coffee date.

Literally, I’m telling you buy anything they have thats pistachio flavoured. The perfect little treat for your valentines.

So these are my favourite top four little spots around Cambridge, which might just make the perfect Valentines date for you. Even, if you don’t go to one of these cute little places for Valentines. I really recommend trying one of these in the near future for a little date followed by a sweet little walk around the city.

Have you ever tried one of these before? Or does one of these options grab your attention? Let me know in the comments below!

I’ve been single for nearly 20 years and it’s looking like another single Valentine’s Day, which I’m totally okay with. I like to spend it with my girl pals, love the idea of Galentines!

I don’t think I’ve ever properly explored Cambridge before. I’ve been to the uni a couple times though. Would LOVE to go to Doppleganger, I’ve never been to a vegan resturant before but the interior looks SO insta worthy 😍
