Summer most definitely on the way. The warm weather has already hit little Cambridge and given me several glorious weekend of sun and cocktails. However theres one product I have to invest in when the heat gets a little hight. Big Shampoo by Lush. It is my go to hair survival during the hot summer!
BIG SHAMPOO SECRETS
If you read my blog on the reg (thank-you, you babe) you’ll know I’ve raved about Lush products in the past. Well, when you find a brand you love, then why change anything? Honestly, I trust Lush to help me out when I have a few skin/hair nightmares and this is no different.
Big Shampoo, is a hair product I trend to use more in Summer, the warmer months, over the colder winter months. Reason being, I tend to wear my hair bigger and brighter in warmer weather. Whereas winter allows for a slicker, more tamed hairstyle.
Summer also brings the problem of my hair looking a little frizzy, dry and bothered. Obviously this is not a look I want to rock about, as it looks slightly untamed and crazy like. Big Shampoo allows me to volumize my hair in a smooth and natural way, getting rid of the frizz like monster mess.
Unlike a lot of volumising hair products, Big shampoo doesn’t leave my hair feeling dry, you can’t even tell that theres been and influx of product in my hair to keep it in place. Thats because one of the ingredients is coconut oil, which smoothes and softens the hair without ruining the volume.
The fragrance also keeps the hair overwhelmingly fresh (seriously, lush please make a perfume like Big Shampoo) thats all thanks to the orange, lime infusions and actual fresh sea water. Big shampoo smells like a perfect, heavenly salty bundle.
The volumizing Big Shampoo, really doesn’t get in your face either. I can use this in the morning and still feel like I have a full head of bouncy fresh hair by the time I’m heading to bed.
How to get big
With Big shampoo, a little got a long way. It’s really important to remember that. Just take out a small handful from the pot and lather it up on your hair. In just a few seconds it will go from feeling a little rough to smooth.
The shampoo will just naturally work into your hair.
The price is right
So you want to invest? Fancy giving big a little try? Well, you can start where I did. Just pop into Lush and see if it’s possible to take a away a sample pot. That will be enough to see if the product works for you.
You then purchase a larger pot for £13.95 (300g) This pot usually lasts around a month and half. My hair is currently medium length and tends not to use a lot of the Big Shampoo each time. Hopefully that gives you a bit of an idea.
