I am so excited to be writing another beautiful food post you all today. I’ve had such a lovely response to my last recipe post, all about my weekly breakfast muffins, which I am still of course making every week for my early morning breakfasts. I am so thrilled to share this cute little recipe for protein balls.
The perfect work day snack
To accompany this, I also tend to make my own homemade snacks to have at work throughout the day. Partly because there are no healthy free or paid options at work to have as a snack. My workplace is also out in a small town and it would take far too long to get to the nearest shop.
So to fix this, we make the most delightful little energy, protein balls. That I can take with me and don’t cause too much a fuss in my handbag. Whats even better, there is no actual “cooking” in the making of these protein balls. You literally just dump everything together and mix all up.
So it may seem like a lot of ingredients but there really isn’t too much method to it. There is absolutely nothing to stress about with this recipe. it takes about 5 minutes to chuck everything together and about 10 mins to roll all the protein balls out into little balls. Of course if you’re a perfectionist, striving for the perfect circle it may take you a little longer.
However, just to be sure, i’ve noted down a little method process so you’ll be sure to get it right.
Its just as simple as that. I usually take about four to five with me to work and slowly eat them throughout the day. I have a rule not to eat any before 10am and not to eat more than one an hour. This is due to the fact that these balls are full of energy and I just like to space that out through the day.
