Manic Monday ritual: Four Lush products I use for a little “me time”

Manic Monday

Monday is such an important day and it does around seven days a week. Now, make no mistake, I love my job but sometimes on a Monday you just need to give yourself a little bit more me time. Just really, reward yourself for getting back into the swing of the week. Lush to the rescue.

So when I get home, there are five products that I like to use through my manic Monday evening and allows myself to calm and soothe down. I do also sometimes use these products throughout the rest of the week, but these are mainly for manic mondays without fail.

Pink Peppermint Foot lotion

I adore pink peppermint foot lotion and I honestly think there’s no other product out there that can beat it. It literally leaves your feet in mint condition. It has a beautiful, delicate smell of mint thats not too powerful when spreading out over your feet. The mint also helps boost the circulation right in your feet, really allowing them to refresh after a long day, stomping around the offie in heels.

I repeatedly buy this product because its just so damn good! I put this on every Monday after work and just slip some comfy socks over. The feeling in your feet is amazing.

Lush: Rosy Cheeks facemask

I am a big fan, of lush and their fresh face masks. I’ve tried a few and my skin has always felt amazing afterwards. however theres one in particular which is my die hard favourite. Rosy cheeks facemask, just makes me feel so, so good. Its such a cleansing face mask and its actually really perfect to use in the hotter seasons because it cools you down immensely.

I usually pop this on after dinner, when my Manic Monday is just about winding down. It’s best to leave it on for the full 15 minutes so you can reap the benefits of your skin smelling fresh and feeling smooth once its all taken off.

Lush: Sleepy Body Lotion

Now, I am sure you’ve heard f this one before. I know I am pretty late to the game when it comes to the gorgeous Lush sleepy body lotion. It’s the perfect recipe for winding my body down to get the perfect nights sleeps for the next day. I really think lavender is the perfect scent for calming and soothing your body and soul. For me, the smell is heavenly and just simply perfect.

This is something I lather all over myself no less than half an hour before bed. Partly because I really want this to be one the last few things I use before bed so my body can concentrate on absorbing all its lavender goodness. This really does help me fall off to sleep, so much more than I thought it would. Its particularly amazing for hot summer nights, when its actually a little difficult to get to sleep.

 Lush Sleepy Lotion

Sleepy tea

My favourite bedtime drink. I am actually banned from drinking this unless I am going to bed straight after. Resoning being, i once drank it before we were about to cuddle up and watch a film and i just ended up snoozing off. Pretty much from the beginning of the film.

My favourite sleepy tea is Clippers, snore and peace. Its a comforting infusion that balances chamomile and lavender, making it smell delicious and taste heavenly. Its the best drink to have, just before lights out. I first tired this tea when I couldn’t sleep one bit, (two years ago during stressful uni deadlines) and its just sorted me out.
