The Power of the Palette: Getting my mojo back & going Pink

April 25, 2018 in Beauty - 3 Comments - 2 min read

Got yo mojo?

Do ever lose your mojo a bit, when your makeup routine isn’t all that organised. It may sound a little shallow but for me its amazing what a slightly different look in my morning make up can do for my self esteem. I recently had a little clear as I swore I had far too many palettes and lipsticks well past their sell by date. So I decided to do a little refresh with revolution pro.

Have you ever gone out for the day and not worn your makeup? If its a chill day, then thats totally fine. However if go to work unpreperd, I feel as though i’ve not put my game face on. I also worry about not looking completely professional.

Out with the old and in with the new

Makeup allows me to wear courage. So I decided to step slightly out of my usual brown tone phase and steer over to the pink tones. Enter the perfect budget makeup brand, Revolution pro. I love revolution because its so affordable yet its not that typical high street bullshit, (the kind of stuff that will last half a day and then just drastically fall off your face)

No. The revolution pro range, really lives up to its name and the shadows are so long lasting. Its the perfect brand for experimentation. The palette I chose is the Unleashed edition. I think this is a great multi purpose palette. Dependent on the shades, you can experiment and create a daytime professional look and then easily transform into date night relaxed look.

Fun yet professional

I really rate this palette. I’ve had it for around a month and have slowly experimented with all the shades for different occasions. Another huge bonus for me is that as you might know. I like to be stingy when buying beauty products (I did however, splash out a little when it came to choosing the perfect foundation) This palette is only £8, so there’s room for experimentation and the cheap price point allows you to have fun, fearlessly. I’m defo going to be adding more palettes to my everyday makeup collection.

Oh my goodness, this is such a pretty palette! I love all the colours! Kinda wish Australia sells this brand but I’m sure I can find it online (HOPEFULLY!)

The colour selection in this palette is beautiful! I’ve just picked up one of the Revolution Pro palettes to test but I went for the ‘Revelation’ one as it reminded me of Huda Beauty Rose Gold! I’ve had a quick play around with the shades and they are so beautiful and pigmented!

    • 💫 Thank goodness for Sundays! It’s been a long week and I cannot wait to just chill & watch 🎬 movies today. I thought I would give little update on how I’m getting on with the ⭐️NEW #BioluminCeye serum #gifted from @DermalogicaUK. It’s really nice to just brush over your 🧖🏼‍♀️ eyes in the morning & really perks me up (I literally reach for all my morning skincare as soon as I 😴 wake up). My under eye area feels a lot brighter & softer after use from these past couple of weeks. Pretty sure, I’m gonna have to 🛍 restock this one soon! 💖#skinfluencer
    • ✨ if only my week was as magical as these cute little tea lights. This week has literally been sponsored by lemon tea ☕️ & throat sweets 🍬 I’ve been off sick that last couple of days and I can tell you it is not ideal. ❄️ Isn’t the weather so bitterly cold in Cambridge recently? Not great when you’re under the weather with a cold! 🥶💖
    • 💫 And just like that, we’ve got through Monday.👊🏼 I had throughly enjoyed my weekend of just taking things slowly and chilling, I definitely need to have more weekends like this.✨ Since moving, I honestly love just hanging out in our living room because the space is sooo bright (can’t wait for longer ☀️days) and also I just feel so cosy here. 😻 Fee has her little spot at the end, right next to the radiator for the colder days too. I think I just need to get a few more pictures 📸 on the wall (currently being very fussy), maybe some more 🛋 cushions & definitely some more house plants. 🌿 Any home decor reccomendations? 💫
    • 🌟 Sunday’s are for doing the things you love.✨ That’s why my day will consist of 👩🏼‍💻blogging, ☕️ drinking massive amounts tea, 📸 scrapbooking and 📺 binging a little bit of Netflix. What does your Sunday look like? 💖
    • 💫I’m so glad we are hitting Friday tomorrow! Is it just me or has this week lasted for like, a year? I have a new blog post 👩🏼‍💻up though all about one of my new favourite coffee ☕️ spots in Cambridge. ✨ PLEASE go check this place out and treat yo’self if you’re local. The food is just divine. 💖
    • C’est fini! 🎉Really pleased to have finished my third book 📚 of the year & the 1st book of @bethsbookclub_ for 2020. Can I just say, this is SUCH a heartwarming💖 but also heartbreaking story! I didn’t want to love Ove as much as I did but I just couldn’t help it, really looking forward to chatting 👩🏼‍💻to everyone about this book later in the month. Now I need new book 📖 recommendations, what’s on your current reading list? 💫 #2020reads
