BLOGGED: Jo Malone & English Fields.

So a couple of weeks ago, I was delighted to be invited to a Jo Malone event in Cambridge. Firstly, I ADORE Jo Malone, it’s literally always on my Birthday and Christmas lists because every scent is just that heavenly. As you can imagine I was super happy to see five new delightful scents added to their collection. They are also in the cutest bottles. Perfect for Bedroom beauty decor, if you’re a blogger you’ll totally know what I mean.

Primrose & Rye Cologne

My favourite one first! I think I just fell in love with this because of the beautiful vanilla and floral scents. It’s also slightly smokey but not that overpowering type of smokey smell.

Honey & Crocus Cologne

This scent has a large base of a gorgeous honey smell. Slightly sweet, but not sticky at all. You can also smell beautiful hints of lavender. Due to that, I don’t think I would wear this scent often as I seem to associate lavender with sleeping and always get a little tired.

Poppy & Barley Cologne

This one really smells deliciously divine. On first scent, it slightly reminds me of a fruity marzipan cupcake. Definitely one, for those who love a sweet perfume smell. (Well played Jo Malone)

Oat & Cornflower Cologne

While I like this one, its probably the one I wouldn’t read for out of all of the English fields collection. The Oat and cornflowers produces quite a wooden smell with hints of floral.

Green Wheat & Meadowsweet Cologne

THE FRESHEST OF THEM ALL! If any of these scents represent the Jo Malone collection, its definitely this one. It’s smells so fresh and I can totally see where the inspiration for calling the collection English fields with this scent. It’s slightly spicy but honestly just so divine.

Arriving at Jo Malone, I was greeted with the most heavenly cocktail and ushered over to the new scents. After a busy day a work, drinking cocktails and smelling pretty things, seemed super perfect. We tried and tested out all the scents, hearing about all the tones and underlying bases that make up the smell.

We where then guided over to the massaged area (you know I love a massage). We were given a complimentary arm and hand massage, finishing with being spritzed by our favourite scent from the new collection. It was honestly such a heavenly hand and arm massage. I felt super relaxed and the lovely manager told me that it was only half of what the usually do. (I’m defo making a trip back there soon)

After the soothing hand massage, I was handed another delightful cocktail and taken over to craft my own personalised Jo Malone scented plaque. It was super cute, and I could even put my initials on it and take home. It currently sitting in our car, making it smell of pretty English fields.

Jo Malone: ROUND UP

I throughly enjoyed my experience at Jo Malone, and I am so happy to have been invited. I had a lovely evening chatting with blogger friends surrounded by heavenly scents. I fully recommended you go to Jo Malone! Spend an afternoon finding your scent. The staff are super helpful and it’s honestly such a lovely experience.

    • 💫 Well, it’s my second day of working from home for the foreseeable future. I’ve worked from home quite a bit anyway with my job but doing it long term is going to be quite a shift. 🎉However, it is something we can & must do if able. So how am I setting myself up? 🥰I’m trying to keep as much of a schedule going as possible when it comes to work. I’m also working on creating a barrier between my home environment & work environment, it’s important to not let it all merge into one. 🙏🏻 I’ll be sharing everything through my stories and blog soon. Remember, we are all in this together! My DM’s are always open if anyone needs a chat. 👌🏼💖
    • ✨ A little throwback snap from one of my new favourite hotspots in Cambridge, wishing this had been my breakfast this morning. 🍳 I obviously won’t be cooking anything as fabulous while I’m working from home, but one can dream right?! 💖💫
    • 💫 LIVING LIFE IN THE SLOW LANE. ✨ We’ve not really ventured out the house much this weekend except for the one Tesco shop. (Not a fun experience) Although the UK isn’t on a lockdown yet, we are prepping for it and limiting where we go. Ive really been enjoying the #staythefuckhome & defo recommend you give it a scroll. Stay safe, stay well & stay home (if you can) 🥰♥️
    • ✨ With all the noise from the news & a heavy work load, I’ve been finding it difficult to get a proper good sleep 💤 this week. I’m sure some of you are just the same. It’s a crazy, unknown time and difficult to just switch off from that anxious feeling. Luckily I’ve found a little bedtime spray, a good book 📚 and night time moisturiser can help calm me down a little. While it obviously doesn’t magically solve everything, it does help me. 💫 So, I encourage you all to do the little things that make you feel just that little bit better during this time.♥️
    • Happy Sunday! 💫 oh my goodness, it’s been a hella of a busy time of late. Over the last few weeks, works been full on & I somehow managed to squeeze in a driving test along the way (which I passed 🎉) AND as a result, I’ve had a very exciting weekend shopping for my first car, feeling very happy & lucky. 😌Today I think I’m just gonna nest at home and enjoy the art of doing nothing ✨
    • 💫 Going into today with this as my mantra.👌🏼 Its no secret that I’m currently finding myself swamped at work! 😩So wishing you a peaceful & smooth working week ✨💖
