I can’t believe it! I’ve been nominated for The Sunshine blogger award  by my lovely Cambridge blogger friend Esther. Check out her blog here (I really recommend you should). I remember correctly, I once got nominated for this award when I had my little film blog back all the way in 2013. So I’m super happy to be nominated with my new blog. As I have a little bit more of a clue with what I’m doing.

I have to say, its more special to me, to be nominated by my friend Esther (p.s Esther we are going for a bloggers brunch soon) However, it’s super nice to be nominated by people who like and admire. So I’m excited to take part The Sunshine blogger award!

I love the blogging community. It’s full of a really inspiring mix of people. Yes it might be predominately women. To be honest, i’m so proud that there is this fairly new industry, that women rock really well. It’s so inspiring to me to see women building each other up, claiming incredible success and finding their own voice through blogging.

Of course there are negative sides to blogging and if your dealing with any of those I wrote a post on how to handle that here. However I hope you never do!

So without further ado, here’s my answers for the The Sunshine blogger award!

What’s your favourite thing about blogging?

This has to be a tie for me. Firstly its the writing. I love writing and more importantly expressing  myself in an honest and true way. I started this blog because I knew I had lots of topics to talk about and it would be better on paper. Secondly its the inspiring community around me. The online friendships I’ve made through blogging are fresh and interesting.

If you could eat absolutely anything right now, what would it be?

It would have to be a mix of things. As i’m writing this, it’s currently lent and I’ve given up a lot of foods. So some mash potatoes, pastries and even a little bit of chocolate would be a dream right now.

Which social platform do you enjoy the most?

Twitter. I just love the instant conversations and connections you can make on there. It such a helpful and informative platform for blogging. In fact i’ve even saved a list of my favourite bloggers on twitter to help me stay connected and inspired. You can view it here.

What’s one thing you’ve achieved in 2018 that you’re proud of?

Very early this year, I decided to really get stuck in and inspired with my job. I took some challenges head on and as a result my work has improved in all areas. So I’m really proud that a different attitude helped me with my job.

How do you like your eggs in the morning?

Scrambled is the only way for me. Ever since watching Gordon Ramsey showcase his recipe, this is the only way to make scrambled eggs.

Who’s the person that inspires you the most?

My goodness, this is such a difficult question. i’m inspired by lots of people for lots of different things. I think the best way to answer this questions would be to write a blog post on all the inspirational people in my life!

If you could recommend I try one food, what would it be?

SUSHI! I believe not enough people appreciate how delicious sushi is. Anybody fancy going to yo sushi with me?!

What’s your favourite way to switch off?

To switch off I need three things. My bed, a face mask and some really calming music. I also turn my phone off to allow myself to properly disconnect. Just half an hour of this three things is the perfect way to recharge.

What are your top tips for managing your time well as bloggers?

Know you cannot do it all if you are ill prepared. If you’re writing content of scheduling a week of posts, make sure you are in a secluded space and focused. I always find myself more productive when working in these conditions.

Do you have a favourite photo you’ve taken? Post it!

Quite a recent one! What do you all think?!

So there you have it, I hope my answers for The Sunshine Blogger award,  have given you a little bit more of an insight into what I’m like as a blogger. I really enjoyed answering them and now it’s time to share the love!

Molly Rees – My blogging Msquared twin. My friendship with Molly has grown so quickly and I am so happy to know such a warm and loving girl. Here blog is simply amazing and  I’m proud of how quickly she’s grown with blogging!

Whatabbiesays –  I have to say, i just find Abby ridiculously cool. if anything, her writing style usually has me in stitches and I always enjoy reading her blog. Abby keeps it real.

Steph Vivienne –  Steph is literally a blogging inspiration to me. I love how she’s made the blogging community a really positive experience for me. Even if she doesn’t realise! I joined her facebook group at the beginning of this year and I have learnt so much through it!

I could nominate so many more but I want to keep it sweet and short for now!

    • 💫 Well, it’s my second day of working from home for the foreseeable future. I’ve worked from home quite a bit anyway with my job but doing it long term is going to be quite a shift. 🎉However, it is something we can & must do if able. So how am I setting myself up? 🥰I’m trying to keep as much of a schedule going as possible when it comes to work. I’m also working on creating a barrier between my home environment & work environment, it’s important to not let it all merge into one. 🙏🏻 I’ll be sharing everything through my stories and blog soon. Remember, we are all in this together! My DM’s are always open if anyone needs a chat. 👌🏼💖
    • ✨ A little throwback snap from one of my new favourite hotspots in Cambridge, wishing this had been my breakfast this morning. 🍳 I obviously won’t be cooking anything as fabulous while I’m working from home, but one can dream right?! 💖💫
    • 💫 LIVING LIFE IN THE SLOW LANE. ✨ We’ve not really ventured out the house much this weekend except for the one Tesco shop. (Not a fun experience) Although the UK isn’t on a lockdown yet, we are prepping for it and limiting where we go. Ive really been enjoying the #staythefuckhome & defo recommend you give it a scroll. Stay safe, stay well & stay home (if you can) 🥰♥️
    • ✨ With all the noise from the news & a heavy work load, I’ve been finding it difficult to get a proper good sleep 💤 this week. I’m sure some of you are just the same. It’s a crazy, unknown time and difficult to just switch off from that anxious feeling. Luckily I’ve found a little bedtime spray, a good book 📚 and night time moisturiser can help calm me down a little. While it obviously doesn’t magically solve everything, it does help me. 💫 So, I encourage you all to do the little things that make you feel just that little bit better during this time.♥️
    • Happy Sunday! 💫 oh my goodness, it’s been a hella of a busy time of late. Over the last few weeks, works been full on & I somehow managed to squeeze in a driving test along the way (which I passed 🎉) AND as a result, I’ve had a very exciting weekend shopping for my first car, feeling very happy & lucky. 😌Today I think I’m just gonna nest at home and enjoy the art of doing nothing ✨
    • 💫 Going into today with this as my mantra.👌🏼 Its no secret that I’m currently finding myself swamped at work! 😩So wishing you a peaceful & smooth working week ✨💖
