CHANGE: Four good habits to get! (trust me)

Ah February. The second month of the year is always a challenge. It may be the shortest but it’s also that annoying period where your new year’s resolutions may slip and you may even fall into a funk. Not this year. Let me supply you with four GOOD habits to get into, to change your month (and even your year). Want to increase your productivity? Well, read on.

Do your hardest task first

For too long, we put off our hardest task when working whether it’s in our jobs or even with a to do list in our everyday life. Time to change that. Be productive, Write yourself a task list but then sit back. Really evaluate your what you have to do and just dive in with the hardest task and work down. You’ll find it so refreshing when get down your task list and your jobs get easier and quicker. You just feel (and are) more productive!

Start early

A hard habit to change to. A worth it one also. When I want to dedicate a whole day to working on my blog, I wake up early and stick to a tight time schedule. A morning routine that leads to productivity is in fact a science that you can implement in your own life. Find a time early in the morning that suits you, get into the habit of waking up early and getting ready to work! I also recommend you write your to do list the night before. One less thing to do in the morning. A perfect change.

Recharge (but actually do it)

While many of us may use our digital devices to keep in contact with each other, it can actually distracts us from connecting with the people who are really around us. Time to change that. To fully recharge from a productive day, it is imperative that we switch off our phones and take part in “recharge activities”. For example, (a long bath, a walk, a catch up with a friend or a good tv show) Good for the soul and perfect to mentally recharge.

Read before bed

An insanely good habit to get into for your brain. Reading before bed will force you to process  information without all the visual aids of a computer or smartphone. Nothing to distract you. You are training your brain to concentrate. It can help you focus on you to-do list for tomorrow and in time you’ll will change your productivity levels for the better.

 

So there you have it. Four incredibly useful tips to help you change you habits into good ones. Just note, don’t take these tips for granted. The best way for these to be effective is to stick with them. it takes approximately 21 days to change a habit. Make the change!

  • 💫Even in the rain, ☔️the flowers are still so pretty! 🌟 I've just come back from a BRILLIANT driving lesson 🚘 after a slightly odd day. 🤭 So, I'm pretty much on a high vibe right now.💖 I was thinking about it all day and getting a little anxious but as soon as I got in the car, everything clicked. 🎉 PLUS, I just drove in Cambridge in rush hour 🚦& now I literally feel like i could do anything 😂💖
