Have you ever tried trello? I have literally fallen in love with it and it’s my go-to digital planner for all things blog related. You can divide everything into sections and set, coloured categories and alerts. Way better than a pen and paper, and you can take it on the go and get all the notifications you need.
Trello is a fun and highly visual online tool that helps teams collaborate and keep track of projects using kanban-style management. You can bend this flexible tool to your will, but it’s less powerful than other project management application, So If I ever collaborate with other bloggers, I always ask to use trello, as you can pop in photos and documents and even message each other on there.
3 Hacks for trello
Calendar power up
The Calendar Power-Up is be enabled by clicking ‘Show Menu’ in the top right of your board, then ‘Power-Ups’ and clicking ‘Enable’ on the Calendar option. This gives you a calendar view to see cards with due dates. It’s super helpful to see all your posts and projects laid out in a calendar format, so you know what to prioritise and what your schedule is going to look like. You can drag and drop cards on the calendar to change the due date and you can also create a card on a specific date by selecting a date and clicking ‘Add a card’.
Use the labels
Labels are a beautiful way of categorising cards and giving a visual cue as to which cards belong to what category. Each label has a number in brackets next to it. Simply press the number for the label you want, hit Enter and your card will be categorised! You can colour code each label, so they stand out across the whole trello board when you’re looking for something specific.
Personal to-do list
Create a board to use as your personal, to do list, along with all your editorial planning and set timers while you go about your day. Whether its shopping or returning emails, having the personal yo do card is such a help.
Have you used trello? Let me know what you think!
I’m also working on creating a monthly newsletter (Starting in January) with social media and self-care tips and tricks I’ve found that works for me. These are two of my favourite topics to talk about so I think combining them together, will be a lovely little dose of news.
